Last year a majority of the Northern Irish Assembly voted in favour of equal marriage by 53 to 51 – but the Democratic Unionist Party used a ‘petition of concern’  to strike proposals down for a fifth time. Restaurants, hotels, and many other businesses could refuse to serve people just because of who they love. But Wales was more dangerous after the break and will next play either Hungary or Belgium in the quarterfinals in Lille on Friday.
